The past three months have flown by but here is a recap of what has been happening in our little world.
In June, Drue and I found out that we were going to move Bakersfield, California from San Ramon. This was hard news for us because we really loved where we were living and I loved working at Downey High School. But we knew that this would happen and so we decided to look on the bright side. I drove down and looked at 24 houses in one day and finally found a great house on the north side of the city and we bought it! We bought a house in California! We have since painted the inside and added a few new appliances and are still working on making it our own. My mom, grandma, and Walter drove up to help move us into the house. It would have been really hard without them because Drue had already started work and I would have been there to unpack on my own. Thanks guys!!!
Drue and I immediatly started exploring our new home of Southern California. We took a day trip here and there to Los Angeles. We drove to San Luis Obispo and through Paso Robles (wine country here). We also ate lunch in Malibu and have experienced a taping of "Let's Make a Deal" (we had to dress in costume. The episode we were an audience member in will air on March 14th).
Drue is busy with his job, which he likes. It makes his day go by super fast. I have not been able to find a teaching job but I am coaching cheerleading and it keeps me occupied. I could do without all the drama though. I am substituting at local schools to stay in the school system and really just keeping up our house.
In early August, Drue and I found out we were expecting! We are so excited about the news and it's fun to watch my tummy grow week by week. I have not experienced any morning sickness but I am tired a lot of the time. Other than my fatigue I feel great. I feel like I am hungry all the time and I do have cravings although they are not consistant. I am just at the end of my first trimester and will head back to the doctor in a couple of weeks to hear the heart beat again. We are hoping to find out what the sex of the baby is before we head down to Houston for Christmas. Drue and my sister are hoping for a boy but I love the idea of either.
Have a safe and fun Halloween!!
